From the Keeneland Library Archives: The Triple Crown

Dedicated to preserving racing's rich history, the Keeneland Library is one of the world's largest repositories of information related to the Thoroughbred. Established in 1939, the Library houses nearly 30,000 books, approximately 1 million photographic negatives and thousands of newspaper and magazine articles on all aspects of the equine industry.

The Keeneland Library is host to a number of photograph collections surrounding past Triple Crown winners:

Among the Keeneland Library archives is the Daily Racing Form collection, which includes editions that date back to 1896. Keeneland has undertaken the Daily Racing Form Preservation Project to create digital copies of the most fragile issues and to make them available to the public through an online database.
