Keeneland Sales Graduates Highlight Blockbuster Weekend of Racing at Saratoga, Del Mar

Keeneland sales graduates top the graded stakes contenders vying this weekend at Saratoga and Del Mar. 

Undefeated Los Alamitos Derby (G3) winner Uncle Chuck and other Grade 3 winners Max Player and Country Grammer compete in the $1 million Runhappy Travers (G1) at Saratoga on Saturday. In the Ballerina (G1) on the Travers Day undercard, Grade 1 winners Serengeti Empress and Bellafina seek a berth in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) on Nov. 7 at Keeneland. Gamine, an 18¾-length winner of the Acorn (G1) in her last start, headlines the Test (G1).

At Del Mar, Beau Recall (IRE) defends her title in the Yellow Ribbon (G2). Six of the seven juveniles in the Best Pal (G2), led by the talented maiden winnerRoderick and graded stakes-placed Herd Immunity, were sold at Keeneland.
