Keeneland September Sale Alumni Win Trifecta of Classic Preps on Saturday

Graduates of Keeneland’s 2019 September Yearling Sale dominated Saturday’s preps on the Roads to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1), sweeping the top three spots in the Withers (G3) at Aqueduct and Sam F. Davis (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs and winning the Las Virgenes (G3) at Santa Anita.

Risk Taking posted a 3¾-length victory in the Withers to secure 10 points to rank 11^th on the Kentucky Derby leaderboard. Overtook and Capo Kane finished second and third, respectively.

Candy Man Rocket also earned 10 points with his win over stablemate Nova Rags in the Sam F. Davis. Hidden Stash was third. 

Moonlight d’Oro rallied from last to first in the Las Virgenes to establish herself as a prominent Oaks contender.
