Keeneland September Sale Graduates Prominent Contenders for Saturday Classic Preps

 Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates, led by Overtook, Hidden Stash and Moonlight d’Oro, are among the sophomore standouts receiving attention in Saturday’s preps on the Roads to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1).

The highly regarded maiden winners Overtook and Risk Taking are among the six September Sale graduates seeking Derby points in the Withers (G3) at Aqueduct. Also highlighting the Withers field is Capo Kane, winner of the Jerome Stakes (L) on Jan. 1 at Aqueduct. 

Hidden Stash, winner of his maiden at Keeneland followed by an allowance win at Churchill Downs in his last two starts, is one of six September Sale alumni entered in the Sam F. Davis (G3), also a Derby prep held at Tampa Bay Downs. 

On the Road to the Oaks, impressive maiden winner Moonlight d’Oro is among the favorites for the Las Virgenes (G3) at Santa Anita. 

Also at Santa Anita, Freedom Fighter, a debut winner at Del Mar in his only start, figures prominently in the San Vincente (G2).
