Keeneland September Sale Alumni Noble Indy, Chocolate Martini Top Derby, Oaks Leaderboards Following Weekend Wins

March 26, 2018

Keeneland September Yearling Sale alumni once again dominated the 2018 Roads to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1), accounting for all four classic preps held this weekend. Wins by Noble Indy in the $1 million TwinSpires.com Louisiana Derby (G2) and Chocolate Martini in the TwinSpires.com Fair Grounds Oaks (G2), both at Fair Grounds on Saturday, vaulted each horse to the top of the Derby and Oaks leaderboards, respectively.

On Sunday at Sunland Park, Runaway Ghost, a late Derby nominee, established himself among the point leaders with an easy win in the Sunland Derby (G3). Blamed cruised to a 6¼-length victory in the Sunland Park Oaks to earn 50 points toward the Kentucky Oaks should her connections choose to nominate her to the filly classic.
