2nd race [Clm 16000B, 6F] – (5) Thank You Jon got out of the gate sharply to set the pace but got run down nearing the wire to finish second earning his best speed figure in a year. (1) Devil’s Cay was claimed from a similar spot and just missed the win by a head two races back. (2) King Moonracer moved from turf to dirt last time and now drops down to this level. (7) Arrebato threw in an unexpectedly bad race on a muddy sealed track and cuts back to sprinting.
3rd race [Md 20000, 6F] – (1) Corri Felice gets a trainer change and cuts back in distance after setting the pace and finishing third. (4) Looks First was claimed in April for $40,000 by Linda Rice, came back in November to run fourth and now drops down to this lowest maiden claiming level. (2) My Angel has been away since March of 2023 when she ran third in a NY-bred maiden special weight and changes barns. (5) That’sthefactjack has past races that make her a contender in this field.
4th race [NY, Alw 80000 N1X, 1 mi] – (6) Princess Becca moves from a win and a pair of seconds in starter allowances against open company to face NY-breds where she did break her maiden. (1) Empire Magic has four starts and finished in the top three in all of them with a win by five-lengths last time. (3) Chasing Daylight has plenty of early speed which she has used to race at this level 11 times with four seconds. (7) Amy’s Light tried the turf another time and did not run well again but her prior two starts were good.
7th race [OC 62k/N2X, 6 ½ F] – (8) Willow Bend (D) was bet down from 9-1 to 7-1 and finished fourth going a mile and moves back to a better distance. (2) Everyoneloveslinda enters with the claiming option so that she can run at this level at which she had two wins in the spring. (3) Proud Foot comes back from an August layoff and drops back here for the Rick Dutrow barn which is winning at a 50% clip. (7) I’m Buzzy was claimed last time for $50,000 and also enters for a tag with nine victories in her record.
