1st race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (3) Kiss Me Slow made her only start in July at Saratoga and ran fourth behind Immersive, the undefeated winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1). (5) Sharp Smile debuted on the turf but then switched to the main track at Aqueduct and finished second at 5-2. (1) Ice Cream Boat set the pace her second start and can again get to the front in this longer race. (2) Delicious Diva will make her first start for Kenny McPeek and was a $400,000 Saratoga yearling purchase.
2nd race [Alw 92000 N1X, 1 1/8 mi] – (4) Black Rain returned from a three-month layoff, pressed the pace, finished third, and now comes right back in three weeks. (3) Yo Daddy is a winner on turf and dirt and actually ran second in the Saranac (G3) at Saratoga. Before that he won a starter allowance on the main track at the Spa. (1) Hittheroadjak won the first two races in his career at Delaware Park and Laurel Park. This year he raced against Maryland-breds and won an allowance. (6) California Sober won his debut on the dirt at Delaware for Graham Motion and then two turf allowances.
6th race [Clm 12500, 6 ½ F] – (5) Willful Desire returns from a three-month layoff and moves to the barn of Linda Rice. Prior to the move she was claimed for $20,000. (2) It Takes Heart was a winner at Saratoga for a $16,000 tag and got claimed. Since then, she ran well in tougher races and was taken for $25,000 in August. (6) Vegas Weekend finished in the top three in her last starts and was claimed three times. She was a winner two weeks ago following a four-month layoff. (4) My First Love rallied to win at this level last month.
8th race [Md 20000, 1 mi] – (6) Very Satisfactory changes to the barn of Brad Cox after having run only on the turf and drops from a $40,000 race. (8) Dangerous Driver was second at this level last month. (11) Bourbon Outlaw will move from turf to dirt and drop to this lowest maiden claiming level. (9) Bolt d’Plata raced wide last time and finished third for the same tag as today’s race.
Best bets: Kiss Me Slow (1st); Black Rain (2nd). Best value: Willful Desire (6th); Very Satisfactory (8th).
