1st race – (9) Sycamore Shoals was a game second in her debut and can graduate here. (2) Chasten is an interesting firster from Cox. (4) Stay Classy was also second in her debut and will be in the mix. (7) Going Steady may appreciate the cutback in distance. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-7-9.

3rd race – (4) Book’em (C) was bet down from 6-5 to 4-5 and posted a second straight win. Seems poised for three in a row. (5) Just Ruthless was an impressive maiden winner, but that was in the slop. (6) Quantum Burst looked good in a maiden win. (1) Quinn’s Promise had trouble last time and can rebound here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-6.

6th race – (1) Tough Catch was a rallying second last time and should appreciate the added distance. (4) Wisconsin Gal has speed and could be tough to catch. (2) Glean won on turf but should also handle dirt. (7) Keep It Easy flopped in a stakes but fits better here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-7.

9th race – (1) Eclatant won both of her starts and is ideally positioned on the rail. (3) Good Cheer was an easy winner in a stakes and is the one to fear. (4) Quietside has been racing in Grade 1 stakes and gets some class relief here. (5) Sturgeon Moon could pose a late threat. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-5.

11^th race - (8) First Resort gets back on dirt and is capable of leading throughout. (2) Jonathan’s Way flopped in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile but can bounce back to top form here. (3) Tiztastic was second in a similar stakes and cannot be ignored. (7) Sonic Skidaddle should relish the two-turn distance. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-7-8.
