st race – (4) Artemus Citylimits drops into a claimer and returns to dirt. Deserves the nod here. (3) Best of Greeley seems capable of his best effort here. (2) Smart Time has been working smartly for his first start since September.

nd race – (5) Walkoff appears ready for his first start since December and finds a group he should be able to handle. (7) Baby I’m Perfect has a nice burst of speed and could be tough to catch. (2) Saintly Samurai has his claiming price sliced and will be a contender here. (1) Zanesville is in great form and cannot be ignored.

rd race - (6) Turnagain Tide never fired last fall in his debut but has been training in solid fashion for his return and gets the nod here. (1) Winning Prospect has been idle for more than a year but his works indicate he’s poised for a good effort. (4) Extreme should be tougher on dirt. (3) Rare Stripe might welcome a surface switch to dirt.

th race – The (1) entry of Fulsome and Floriform form a strong coupling that should be hard to deny in this spot. (4) Aviano closed quickly to break his maiden at Gulfstream and could be the main threat. (7) Private Island gets some class relief after racing in stakes company. (2) Ethical Judgement makes his 2021 debut off a bullet work and should be watched.

th race – (1) Bold Victory takes a big class drop for his 4-year-old debut and should handle this field if there’s no rust from a six-month layoff. (4) The Flasche can be a contender at this class level. (5) He Who Dares Wins is worth a look while trying dirt. (7) Midlaner should get some consideration at this level.

h race – (2) West Will Power has been first or second in all four of his starts and should be tough to beat if he duplicates his last try. The (1) entry of Noren and Lord Guinness offers a duo coming off good races that cannot be overlooked. (6) Almashriq should benefit from a turf to dirt switch. (4) Blue Jays looms a stretch threat in this spot.

th race – The Ben Ali Stakes (G3) - (5) Silver Dust had a useful prep for this on turf and should be on edge for a winning effort. (3) Night Ops may be the one to fear after a good third in an Oaklawn handicap. (1) Beau Luminarie should be competitive in his field.

th race – The Giant’s Causeway Stakes - (1) Into Mystic won a sprint stakes at Fair Grounds in his last turf race and should get a great trip from the rail. (10) Jakarta has keen early speed and should be a main threat to the top choice. (6) A Bit of Both should be closing quickly at the end and belongs in the exotics. (7) Karak will be better suited by turf against this group.

th race – The Stonestreet Lexington Stakes (G3) - 9th race – (5) Unbridled Honor seems well spotted to continue trainer Todd Pletcher’s hot hand in Kentucky Derby preps. After finishing fourth in his stakes debut, he’s been working sharply and should benefit from a hot pace scenario that will enhance his late-running style. (7) Proxy has been facing some of the top 3-year-olds and been competitive with them. He disappointed last time but seems quite capable of bouncing back here. (3) Bezos was considered Kentucky Derby material before his first start and then flopped in his debut. He rebounded with a big effort in a maiden win and Baffert must have confidence him or he would not have shipped him cross-country. (9) King Fury is another who may benefit from a contested pace.

th race – The Coolmore Jenny Wiley (G1) - (4) Etoile makes her 2021 debut after closing out 2020 with a Grade 1 win and appears ready for another winning effort. (1) Micheline posted a solid win in a Tampa Bay stakes and should be quite formidable here. (2) Tamahere makes her third U.S. start and it could be a charm. (3) Juliet Foxtrot makes her first start since November and can make her presence felt.

th race – (7) Stage Raider was a distant second in his debut for Chad and can invade the winner’s circle today. (8) Private Network should be well-suited by a turnback to a sprint. (3) Six Pack can take a step forward off a useful debut. (6) Windcracker is long overdue for a maiden win and should not be ignored.
