LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 28) Trainer Mark Casse and jockey Robby Albarado each won three races Thursday. They teamed to win the seventh race with Debby Oxley’s Minister’s Strike and the ninth race with Tizzarunner, who races for Oxley’s husband, John C. Oxley.

Casse also won the third with JSM Equine’s Kismet’s Heels and Albarado won the sixth aboard Albaugh Family Stables’ J Boys Echo.

With his performance Wednesday, Casse moved atop the Fall Meet standings with 11 victories, one more than Mike Maker.

Albarado has 13 wins, putting him third behind Julien Leparoux (18 wins) and Florent Geroux (14 wins). …

Trainer Jack Van Berg recorded his first Keeneland victory since the 1998 Spring Meet when he sent out Muddy Waters Stables’ Texas-bred Eurodevilwoman to win Thursday’s first race. Van Berg now has 47 wins here. He sent out his first Keeneland winner during the 1972 Spring Meet. Declan Cannon rode Eurodevilwoman to win the six-furlong race by a half-length in 1:10.92.

A race oddity occurred Thursday when the No. 7 horse won the first four races. Eurodevilwoman won the first race and was followed in the next races by Juan Munoz-Cano’s Rare Art, JSM Equine’s Kismet’s Heels and Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Pinson. … 

Trevor McCarthy scored his first Keeneland victory when he rode Hope Jones’ Party Boat to win the sixth race Wednesday. Graham Motion trains Party Boat, a 2-year-old Into Mischief filly who won the 1 1/16-mile allowance race on firm turf by two lengths in 1:44.91.
