LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 12, 2016) – America’s Best Racing (ABR), a multimedia fan-development and awareness-building platform of The Jockey Club, has released a new video, “ABR Wired: Matt Bernier at Keeneland.”
What is it like to be an on-air handicapper and analyst for NBC Sports? Follow along with America’s Best Racing for a behind-the-scenes look as Matt Bernier experiences a day at the races in his capacity as a handicapper and analyst for NBC Sports from Keeneland.
A former part-time real estate agent and full-time handicapper then living in the western Massachusetts suburb of West Springfield, Bernier, at age 23, turned a first-time online tournament win into a starring role on “Horseplayers,” televised by Esquire Network. Since then, he has become the player development handicapper for the Daily Racing Form and a handicapper and analyst for NBC Sports. The Matt Bernier Show airs on Fridays at noon ET on http://live.drf.com.
Making cameo appearances in this original ABR Wired feature are fellow NBC Sports on-air personalities Tom Hammond and Kenny Rice, both from Lexington.
