*C: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 1st through 3rd
*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worse
* - 4 or more betting notches if 11-1 or more.

1st race [Md 30000, 6F] – (8) Printrack ran his first race in a maiden special weight at Belmont Park for Jonathan Thomas where he set the pace and faded to fifth. He now makes the “biggest class drop in racing”. (5) Any Minute returns from a July layoff as a new gelding for Rudy Rodriguez and drops in for a tag. He was well bet in both of his starts. (2) Aranjuez ran second in his first start in a turf sprint while pressing the pace which had fast fractions. (7) Good Skate is also from the barn of Rudy R. and makes a drop back to the maiden claiming ranks.

5th race [NY, Md 40000, 6F] – (6) Eddie the Great raced against open company in a maiden special weight that came off the grass and went on a muddy Aqueduct track for Brad Cox. He will run for the first time for a tag and face state-breds. (8) Empire Station gets a pass for his poor performance on a sloppy track as the favorite after a solid debut for George Weaver. (10) Something Majestic changes to a new barn and shows up as a new gelding to drop into a maiden claimer for the first time. (2) Always Charming was 11-1 in his debut for a very low-profile trainer and ran fifth in a maiden special weight at the Big A.

6th race [NY, Alw 72000 N1X, 1 mi] – (5) Coffee Bar showed promise at the beginning of the year at Aqueduct when she broke her maiden against state-breds and then ran second in the Busanda. After a break, she was second twice in allowances and now comes back from an August layoff for Todd Pletcher. (6) Destinationwnrscir also comes back from an August vacation. In the spring at the Big A she broke her maiden by nine lengths. (4) Witch Hunter moved from Florida racing to Charlie Baker and ran second at Finger Lakes in her first-ever start against NY-breds. (3) Caramocha just made her second start off a layoff and ran third and then second with improving speed figures.

7th race [Alw 72000 N1X, 6 ½ F] – (2) Siena Magic (C) dropped in odds from 3-1 to 9-5 winning his second starter allowance in a row. After those races, he has been off since February. (7) Risk Profile was claimed for $40,000 at Saratoga and since then won a starter allowance and was second and third in open allowances. (3) Repo Rocks won a starter allowance by more than eight lengths in his most recent start as another recent $40,000 claim. (1) Bustin Shout returned from a long layoff in a turf sprint that should serve as a useful tightener to prepare for the Aqueduct winter meeting for Bruce Levine.

Best bets:  Printrack (1st); Coffee Bar (6th). Best value:  Eddie the Great (5th); Siena Magic (7th).
