Hot List Key:

A preferred horse to watch                         B: Secondary horse to watch
*C: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 1st through 3rd
*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worse
* - 4 or more betting notches if 11-1 or more.

1st race [NY, Md 25000, 6F] – (2) Dini’s Destini (B) got off to an awkward start in her debut race at Aqueduct last month and had to rally from far back in last place and managed to get up to fourth place while getting backed at odds of 9-2. (4) Draw Off made her first start as a 2-year-old in May at Belmont Park at odds of 5-1 for George Weaver and ran fourth in a good field. She returns with Lasix. (3) Crosstown Girl made three starts against open company at Laurel Park and now moves to the barn of Bill Morey at Belmont Park to face NY-breds for the first time with speed figures that can beat this field. (1) Half Birthday had a pair of seconds at this level after setting the pace and now cuts back to the better distance of six furlongs.

4th race [NY, Md 40000, 6 ½ F] – (1) Dorothy’s the Boss (A) was in her second race after a long layoff and went very wide to rally from seventh to finish second. (4) Majestic Spirit started twice in January and improved to finish third and now she’s back with Lasix. (8) Sister Luck debuted on the dirt more than a year ago at the Fair Grounds and added a turf route at Saratoga from which she was claimed by Joe Lee, former assistant trainer for Kiaran McLaughlin. (6) Cricket West had two races back from a layoff with improved speed figures which is a statistical indicator of success to come.

5th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6 ½ F] – (8) One Track Mine (A) had an impressive second-place debut as a 2-year-old at Belmont Park and then returned in March at Aqueduct but got pinched back at the start and lost all chance for David Donk. She’s back in two weeks. (3) Big Bean Christine had the best finish of her career when she was second at the Big A last month with her best speed figure. (7) Tonight We Love has improved in figures in all four starts and now gets blinkers on for Carlos Martin who does very well with fillies. (9) Costanti made a big move forward with her third-place finish after pressing the pace at Aqueduct last month for the Bond barn.

7th race [NY, OC45k/N2X, 6F] – (4) Secret Love (D) returned from a long layoff and was bet down from 9-1 to 6-1 and clearly needed a race in this tough field of older fillies and mares. (7) Mosienko (D) was bet down from 13-1 to 8-1 even though she was stepping up in allowance class after a victory. (3) My Roxy Girl will return to state-bred competition where last seen earlier in the winter when she was first and second. (1) Beautiful Karen will have no choice but to use her early speed from the rail at her favorite distance.

Best bets:  Dini’s Destiny (1st); Dorothy’s the Boss (4th). Best value:  One Track Mine (5th); Secret Love (7th).

No.
