nd race [Clm 32000, 1 mi] – (5) American Power rallied late to finish second by a neck going seven furlongs in September. The 7-year-old has 11 career victories with a great record at Aqueduct of 12: 4-4-2. (3) Ebben was also a winner at this $32,000 claiming level in his most recent start. For him, that was in October going the mile distance. (6) Winter Pool was claimed from his last three starts most recently for $40,000 following a fourth place finish racing nine furlongs. (4) Prince of Pharoahs returns from an August layoff and drops into a claimer for this first time.

th race [Alw 50000s, 6F] – (7) Outasite will make his first start for trainer Horacio DePaz as a new gelding following a February layoff from the Brad Cox barn. When last seen he ran third at Oaklawn Park in a $50,000 claimer. (6) Hatch moved back to the main track last month and finished second in a starter allowance. (1) Win for Gold returns on short rest having won for $25,000 just six days ago for Linda Rice who has good numbers with the quick comeback. (4) Drink the Wind set the pace and finished third in her second try at this level following a 22 length win in a $20,000 maiden claimer.

th race [NY, Md Spt Wt, 1 mi] – (6) Sweetest Princess improved her finish position and speed figures in all three starts which were on the turf. (5) Kara Para had her best finish in her lone start on the dirt. That second came between a pair of turf starts for Linda Rice. (4) Miss Fashionista was sent off as the favorite for Todd Pletcher last month. On a sloppy track she was observed to be having trouble dealing with wet kickback and finished fourth. (7) Sweet Blush began her career on the main track at Saratoga and then tried the turf twice. Blinkers come off now.

th race [Md Spt Wt, 1 mi] – (4) Southern Flag has made six career starts with five top three finishes for Bill Mott. Most recently he was second at the BAQ meeting. (6) American Law was last seen in April when he ran second twice at the Big A after setting the pace. Trainer Danny Gargan has great stats with long layoffs. (7) Smoke and Heat will shift from four starts on the turf back to the main track at Aqueduct where he was second in his debut. (2) Safe Bet will make his debut for Rudy Rodriguez. He is a half-brother of a graded stakes winner of more than $750,000.

Best bets:  Outasite (4th); Southern Flag (7th). Best value:  American Power (2nd); Sweetest Princess (5th).
