1st race – (2) Economic Policy looks to win his third race in a row for Chad Brown after a maiden victory for $16,000 and then a N2L for the same tag. He has the top speed figures in the field as he steps up to try this N3L condition for the first time. (6) Mandatory Payout spent his last three races at Finger Lakes and now returns to the barn of Jimmy Ryerson. He raced at Aqueduct last winter in the N2L ranks. (4) Bozzini is well-travelled for Jeremiah Englehart with starts around the Northeast and fits well at this level and at the one-mile distance. (7) Magnetron switches to the barn of Rob Atras who wins at a 25% rate with horses new to his barn.

4th race – (6) Flashndynamite won four of her last five starts while training at Monmouth Park, but racing at Parx. She ships to Aqueduct now looking for a second-level allowance with her career record of 11 wins from 26 starts. (3) Persisto was an impressive winner of a first-level allowance at Delaware Park last month. She broke her maiden at Aqueduct last year and then appeared in two stakes races there. (1) Gone Glimmering was claimed for $40,000 two races back by Rob Atras who brought her right back to win an allowance that was meant for the grass at today’s level. After that victory she returns in the same condition while exercising the claiming option of $62,500. (4) Ujjayi has been shipping around to various tracks for Michael Maker. Last time she was second in a stake at Delaware after having to steady in both turns and the third horse came back to win her next start in an allowance.

5th race – (8) Polpis (B) veered in at the start of his debut at Aqueduct on a sloppy track and got far behind. Going a mile, he rallied but then tired down the stretch at odds of 6-1. Now, trainer Jonathan Thomas puts blinkers on which is a 25% winning move while second time starters win at 36% for that barn. (10) Humpday returns to another NY-bred turf maiden special weight after breaking slowly and getting well back in his debut for Ray Handal. He rallied from 12th to finish sixth. (1) Perpetual Change will make his debut for Kelly Breen as this home-bred is out of a mare who earned $148,000 on the track and has produced two winners from two starters. (5) Western Advantage is out of a stakes winning dam who has four winners from six to run. [(12) Vodka Lemonade was a promising second in his debut for Mike Maker and will be a win contender is he gets into the field.]

10th race – (9) Beach Front (D) has caught two sloppy tracks in a row and now drops in claiming price from $40,000 to $16,000 while staying in the N2L condition. Last time, he was fourth while getting bet from 8-1 to 5-1. (6) Freedom Force broke his maiden by four lengths for a $20,000 tag at Belmont Park and then tried a starter allowance. He’ll make his first try in a N2L race. (5) Blues City returns from a February layoff as a new gelding for Linda Rice and makes a big drop down in claiming price. He broke his maiden at the Big A last year. (13) Principal Dancer has not run since facing similar company at Saratoga when he ran second and third. He is also a past winner at Aqueduct.

Best bets:  Economic Policy (1st); Flashndynamite (4th). Best value:  Polpis (5th); Beach Front (10th).
