st race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (10) American Hustle (B) was keen early in his second career start but then rallied from mid-pack to finish third beaten by less than a length. (6) Bat Flip improved when he switched to turf for Todd Pletcher and ran second behind an impressive winner. (2) Faraday makes his debut for Chad Brown with plenty of turf pedigree from the dam who produced the millionaire Sadler’s Joy and five other winners. (3) Fightertown ran into a strong field in his debut for Bill Mott where the place and show runners came back to win their next starts.

nd race [Alw 105000 N1X, 1 3/16 TURF] – (7) Myriskyaffair was second in a Grade 2 at Belmont in June and last month came back from a couple of months off to run third in a similar spot. (4) Lisheen has three starts this year which earned her best speed figures that fit well with the top horses in this field. (1) Broadway Boogie was a clear maiden winner last time at Colonial Downs in her first start since moving to a new barn. (2) Ever Summer has two starts this year and broke her maiden most recently at Delaware Park for Christophe Clement.

th race [NY, OC45k/N2X, 7F] – (2) Bustin Bay was a winner at this level three races back and then ran into Mosienko. She will now cut back from a mile and use the claiming option. (6) Khali Magic also has a win at this level and then faced Mosienko twice. Last time she had the lead and finished second. (5) Cupid’s Heart made her 2022 debut last month for Bruce Levine and won by five lengths at Saratoga in a first-level allowance. (1) Beautiful Karen was claimed from a second-place finish for $25,000 after several starts at today’s allowance level. She is projected to be on the lead.

th race [Carle Place, 6F TURF] – (2) That’s Right is the winner of 4 out of his last 5 starts including a pair of stakes with the Turf Monster (G3) last month. He should once again be on the lead early. (3) Outlaw Kid won his last two starts with a maiden at Saratoga and then an allowance at BAQ. Both wins were in fast races. (5) Run Curtis Run has four top three finishes this year with the last two coming in graded stakes. (4) Too Many Twizzlers won an allowance at Kentucky Downs last time and that form has been holding up.

Best bets:  American Hustle (1st); Myriskyaffair (2nd). Best value:  Bustin Bay (5th); That’s Right (6th).
