3^rd race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 7 F] – (5) Pretty Clever pressed the pace and finished second in her 2021 debut for Mark Casse as she switched from turf to dirt. (6) Shamalamadingdong was trained by Linda Rice when she was fourth in a strong field where the winner came back to win a NY-bred stakes race. She is now in the barn of Christophe Clement. (2) Consitutionalrage was claimed from Barclay Tagg after a second-place finish for $40,000 by Bruce Brown. (3) Dom’s Feisty Girl has been off since April where she was fourth after pressing the early pace at Belmont Park.

5^th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 7F TURF] – (7) Voodoo Zip (B) got shuffled back and was checked. He was keen to run and got into contention to finish third. He will cutback in distance here for Clement. (3) Yes and Yes (B) lost all chance at the start when this speed horse leapt up and got far back in last. (6) Big Package used up his NY-bred allowance conditions with a big win by three-lengths that earned a career high speed figure. He is still eligible for this first-level allowance against open company. (2) Sparkling Sky has been off for almost a year when last seen at Saratoga he was second a similar spot. As a 2-year-old he ran in two stakes races.

7^th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 6F] – (1) Harper’s in Charge (A) was an impressive debut winner by more than six lengths back in November at Aqueduct for Clement. (2) Ruvies in Time (B) is a speed horse who was hard held early in her last start and still managed to run third. (4) Bella Sofia is entered in stakes race at Belmont on Saturday. She was a runaway winner of her debut and then was second in the Jersey Girl to an undefeated filly after setting the pace. (3) Fierce Lady was second in a NY-bred stake last time and has used up her state-bred allowance conditions. [(5) Midtown Rose will be the fourth choice if Bella Sofia runs on Saturday.

8^th race [River Memories, 1 ½ mi TURF] – (5) Virginia Joy will be making her third start in America for Chad Brown. She won her first try in a second-level allowance and then was fourth in the New York (G2) last month. (7) Delta’s Kingdom has been racing in graded stakes lately with three board hitting finishes all in long distances. (3) Luck Money was second in a stake at Pimlico in her 2021 debut for Arnaud Delacour. This past stakes winner is also entered at Delaware Park on Saturday. (4) Call Me Love won a high-level allowance at Belmont in May for Clement.

Best bets:  Pretty Clever (3^rd); Virginia Joy (8^th). Best value: Voodoo Zip (5^th); Harper’s in Charge (7^th).
