(8) She’s a Mia has been off since November when she was second in the Tepin at Aqueduct. She has moved from a low-profile trainer to Christophe Clement. (3) Lady Thornhill was last seen breaking her maiden at the Big A in December. (6) Solib was a maiden winner on the grass last year and came back to run second in March on a muddy track allowance at Aqueduct.

4th race [NY, Md 25000, 6F] – (9) Barone Marchis gets the nod as a lightly raced horse in this low-level maiden claimer. In his second start which came after a four-month layoff he was second. (2) Limit Up tried the turf last time and now drops back down to this level on the main track. (3) Vincent was second in his debut after having the lead back in February, then was claimed, and now drops back down. (7) El Veinticuatro improved last start for Rudy Rodriguez when he cut back to sprinting and was moved up to third.

5th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 1 mi TURF] – (1) Starting Over will return to the grass after a couple of winter dirt races. Last year, he was graded takes placed at Santa Anita and second in a Keeneland allowance. (4) High Tide was a six-length winner of a turf starter allowance last month at the Big A. 9th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi TURF] – (5) Whistler’s Honor (A) was off slow in his debut and rallied from last to finish fifth in a turf sprint and had the look of a horse that needed to go longer. (2) Joint Resolution (B) finished fourth in his first career start in a race that was meant for the grass and was well bet for Clement. (11) Uragano (D) was heavily bet in both of his starts. He was entered for the turf last time at Aqueduct and finished fourth when the race went on the main track. (1) Nikostratos gets blinkers on and first-time Lasix after a pair of seconds last year on the grass in New York.

Best bets:  Sweet Franny Lu (3rd); Barone Marchis (4th). Best value:  Starting Over (5th); Whistler’s Honor (9th).
