*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worse
* - 4 or more betting notches if 11-1 or more.

2nd race [NY, Md 25000, 6 ½ F] – (2) Tellaperfecttale has a pair of second-place finishes at this level following a layoff for a hot trainer in Tom Morley. (1) New York Banker used a turf race in her first start since a short break and now gets back on the main track where she also had two board-hitting results. (8) Captivating Cara has a bunch of good races at this level which makes her an underneath play. (6) Eloquent Laoban will make her first start at this lowest level for NY-breds.

3rd race [NY, Alw 80000 N1X, 1 mi] – (4) I’m Perfect Too has three strong races in her career with a maiden score at Saratoga and then a second at this allowance level for Tom Albertrani. (1) I’m Fine has a pair of improving races since returning from a layoff which is a winning angle. (5) Caramoucha was third in her first start following a couple months away from the races. (6) Ok Honey has three excellent races in a row and two since being claimed, class change may be a concern, but the speed figures fit in this small field.

6th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (3) Supreme Being will try state-bred company for the first time after four good efforts at Parx and Pimlico for trainer Uriah St. Lewis who has won in New York before, usually at long odds. (9) Knightly Mischief was third while pressing the pace last time and gets a favorable cutback in distance. (1) Iron Lion to Zion was fifth in his debut after pressing the pace at odds of 5-1 which are good indicators of an improved second start. (5) Bossmakinbossmoves was second in his first start career start in a maiden claimer with a closing move.

9th race [Tempted, 1 mi] – (1) Sweet as Pie (A) won her debut race for Todd Pletcher with an impressive closing move. The daughter of Tapit looked like a filly that would appreciate more distance and here she is in this mile stakes race. (8) Gerrymander was second in the Frizette (G1) last time behind the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile fillies favorite Echo Zulu. She was well ahead of the rest of the field. (7) Nest was pre-entered in the Breeders’ Cup but Pletcher opted for this spot. She won her only start going 1 1/16 miles by five lengths. (3) Magic Circle won her first career start and then was fourth in the Frizette for Rudy Rodriguez who has been doing well with 2-year-olds this year.

Best bets:  Tellaperfecttale (2nd); I’m Perfect Too (3rd). Best value: Supreme Being (6th); Sweet as Pie (9th).
