Today’s NY Hot List races to watch – Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Aqueduct

2nd race [Clm 25000 N2L, 1 mi] – (4) Milano (C) improved significantly in his first start after getting claimed when he finished third and was bet down from 16-1 to 11-1. (5) Ria’s Angel drops back down to this claiming level after a third-place finish in a starter allowance. (8) Nicholas James was claimed for $25,000 last time from a race where he pressed the pace. He is projected to be on the lead in this field. (3) Iron Lion in Zion was third in a similar spot last time when he ran a career best speed figure.

5th race [NY, Md 40000, 1 1/16 Mi TURF] – (3) Your Mission returns from an August layoff when he was racing against maiden special weights and drops into a claimer for the first time for Todd Pletcher. (7) Central Pride ran third last time when he made his first start in a maiden claimer. (2) Whisky Warrior also comes back from an August layoff for John Kimmel whose barn was hot during the Belmont at the Big A meeting. (1) Addicted to You has several top three finishes at this level.

6th race [Clm 25000, 7F] – (4) Secret Rules was claimed from a win for $25,000 two races back and returned for his new trainer to set the pace and finished third for $32,000. Now he is projected to be on the lead again and Rob Falcone puts a jockey making the first start of his career on board. (2) Lafitte’s Fleet was claimed for $32,000 last time by Rob Atras and drops down for the new trainer. (8) Risk Profile was third in an allowance and then second in a N3L claimer in his last two starts for Linda Rice. (3) Bourbon Bay returned from a six month break to run third.

10th race [Clm 30000 N2L, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (1) Gooch Go Bragh (C) ran a strong second when last seen in July at Saratoga at this level and was bet down from 8-1 to 6-1. In the second start of his career last year he ran fourth in the With Anticipation (G3). (2) Timbuktu ran second the entire race last time when they came off the turf. Prior races were on the grass against NY-breds including a debut victory in a maiden special weight. (8) Breadman comes back as a new gelding and drops into a claimer for the first time. He was also a first out winner who then was third in a state-bred stakes race. (6) Fieldstone is in good form right now with a pair of top three finishes at this level. He is an Aqueduct horse with a 14: 2-3-3 record.

Best bets: Your Mission (5th); Secret Rules (6th). Best value: Milano (2nd); Gooch Go Bragh (10th).
