Hot List Key:

*C: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 1st through 3rd
*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worse
* - 4 or more betting notches if 11-1 or more.

1st race [Md 25000, 1 mi] – (2) Corkman returned from a nine-month layoff to run fourth at Laurel after a troubled trip. Last year, he ran races that would easily beat this field for veteran trainer Bruce Levine. (5) Flight to Paradise was well bet in most of his races. He was claimed for $40,000 two races back and now drops down to the lowest level of his career. (3) Remembermom takes the blinkers off, moves back to the dirt, and drops down to a level where he finished fourth at Saratoga. (6) Napolean Complex will need to improve to win this race, but he could hit the board at big odds.

4th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi TURF] – (9) Ohtwoohthreefive hit the board in his first three starts and all his speed figures are better than the rest of the field. (10) Wick Loves a Fight ran a decent debut race back in July at Saratoga and got some time to mature since then. (6) King of Hollywood ran his two best races on the grass for Monmouth Park trainer Gregg Sacco. He tried stakes company at Laurel last time. (2) R Doc flashed early speed in his most recent start at Belmont just a week against a strong field. This is a much softer spot.

5th race [Md 40000, 6F] – (6) No More Mischief will make her debut for Todd Pletcher. The dam has produced two winners from two starters. (7) Luna Fortuna was bet down to 7-1 in her first start for a trainer that has no first-out winners. Now, she will drop into this claimer after pressing the pace and finishing fourth. (8) Slow Crossing will make her first career start for Rudy Rodriguez and Repole Stable. (3) Next Tuesday will move to this maiden claimer and go from turf to dirt. She did run second in her debut on the dirt at Monmouth for Kelly Breen.

9th race [Clm 30000 N2L, 7F] – (4) Count Down was claimed from a third in a N2L condition two races back and then tried a starter allowance. Rudy R. puts the blinkers back on and cuts back in distance. (9) Propensity returns from an 11-month layoff when he was claimed. He has past races that are much better than the rest of this field. (3) Horn of Plenty came back from a five-month break and caught a muddy track and now will try the N2L level for the first time. (12) Chrome Dixie tried a longer turf race last time with poor results, shortens to the seven furlongs where he did well, and drops to this level for the first time.

Best bets:  Corkman (1st); Ohtwoohthreefive (4th). Best value: No More Mischief (5th); Count Down (9th).
