*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worse

4th race [Md 25000, 6F] – (4) Mo Mischief makes the drop from maiden special weight to claimer for Todd Pletcher after two starts this summer at Monmouth Park where he ran second and fourth. (1) Flipping Fun is a consistent type who will now try open company after usually running against NY-breds. (9) Yah Huh moves to the barn of Wayne Potts and that alone merits consideration. He returns from a layoff as a new gelding and runs for the lowest tag of his career. (8) Kisses for Val gets the services of Luis Saez after a pair of fourth-place finishes.

5th race [Clm 35000 N3L, 7F] – (8) Girl of Tosconova made two starts this year and both were in N3L allowances at Finger Lakes with a third and a second. Charlie Baker, who is adept at moving horses between NYRA and Finger Lakes, brings her back to Belmont Park where she won her N2L condition last year. (5) Chloe Rose will move back to this restricted claimer after two board hitting finishes in 3-year-old only spots. (6) Quasar was claimed out of her last three starts which came in a N2L races, the most recent was a victory. (3) Left Leaning Lucy missed a win in a N3L race at Saratoga last time by a neck while beating a next-out winner.

6th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi] – (7) St. Lukes (B) got far back after a slow start and rallied for third in his debut for Rudy Rodriguez. (6) Judge Davis lost his footing at the start in his debut for Shug McGaughey in a race that was won by the recent Iroquois winner Major General. (2) Misbehaved was a high-priced 2-year-old purchase who ran fourth as the favorite in his first start for Todd Pletcher. (1) Immokalee was third in his first career start for Bill Mott in a tough field behind two quality horses.

8th race [NY, Joseph A. Gimma, 7F] – (4) Classy Edition (A) was an easy winner in his first start as the odds-on favorite for Todd Pletcher and comes back in less than three weeks. (6) November Rein won his last two starts including a NY-bred stakes race, both were at Saratoga for Kelly Breen’s New York division. (2) Velvet Sister broke her maiden against open company at Belmont, ran fourth in the Schuylerville (G2), and then was second in that aforementioned NY-bred stake. (5) Shesawildjoker won her first start for David Donk and then tried the Adirondack (G2).

Best bets:  Mo Mischief (4th); Classy Edition (8th). Best value: Girl of Tosconova (5th); St. Lukes (6th).
