A Bit of Both Wins Sunday’s Featured Crestwood Purse
October 11, 2020A Bit of Both, owned by the partnership of Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables, Darsan, Bethlehem Stables and David Simon, held off Dixieincandyland by a half-length to take Sunday’s featured $78,000 Crestwood Purse. (Click here for a replay of the race.)
Florent Geroux rode the winner, who is trained by Mike Maker. A Bit of Both covered 5½ furlongs on a turf course labeled good in 1:03.13.
A 4-year-old daughter of Paynter out of Lizzie K, by High Fly, A Bit of Both was bred in Florida by Darsan and WinStar Farm. Today’s win was worth $36,900 and increased the filly’s career earnings to $350,545 with a record of 14-8-2-1.
A Bit of Both paid $9.20, $4.80 and $3.20. Dixieincandyland, ridden by Tyler Gaffalione, returned $4 and $2.80. Finishing two lengths behind in third was Escapade, who was ridden by Javier Castellano and paid $3.
