Brown Continues Dominance In First Lady Presented by UK Healthcare

Baldo Hernandez, assistant to trainer Chad Brown, reported that Peter Brant’s In Italian (GB) and Regal Glory came out of their 1-2 finish in Saturday’s First Lady (G1) Presented by UK HealthCare in good order.

In Italian’s victory gave Brown his fifth consecutive First Lady winner and sixth overall. 

After the race, Brown said both runners would remain at Keeneland with In Italian headed for the $2 million Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) going 1 3/16 miles and Regal Glory pointed to the $2 million FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) Presented by PDJF against males.

Brown, whose Breeders’ Cup roster already included Jack Christopher (Sprint or Mile) and Goodnight Olive (Filly and Mare Sprint), has three more runners for the World Championships coming to Keeneland on Monday. That trio is headed by Champagne (G1) winner Blazing Sevens (Juvenile) along with Appraise (IRE) (Juvenile Turf) and Free Look (Juvenile Fillies Turf).
