3rd race – (8) Redefinition debuts for Ward and seems ready for a winning effort. (5) Lady Mila is a firster from Asmussen who might emerge as the main threat. (1) Murgatroyd could benefit from her first start and be a factor today. (4) Mollie Kate is another making her debut who can make her presence felt. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-8.

5th race – (3) Tough Love seems to be rounding back into top form and deserves top billing here. (2) Little Menace might benefit from a turf to dirt switch. (6) Went West fits in nicely here and cannot be discounted. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6.

7th race – (9) Perhaps Tonight (B) turned in a much-improved effort last time and can take another step forward here. (2) Badger Kitten might wake up in her second start for Chad. (7) Meet the Beauty tired on dirt but may prefer turf. (10) Transient is worth a look despite the outside post. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-9-10.

9th race – (4) Averly Jane (A) won impressively against fillies and seems quick enough to handle the guys in this stakes. (8) American Bound showed promise in a debut win and could be the main threat. (3) Kaufymaker is another filly from Ward who cannot be overlooked. (6) Vodka N Water is a maiden but is in highly capable hands and might be formidable here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-8. Doubles: 3-4-6-8 with 2-3-5-7.

10th race – (2) Cool Rags should enjoy the class relief here and can handle this field. (5) Ornery was second in his debut and appears to be the main competition. (7) Sometimes Always steps up in class but should be competitive here. (3) Bear Alley returns to the main track and could have a big say on the outcome. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-7.
