2nd race – (1) Let’s Be Clear is working quickly toward her debut and should prevail at first asking. (3) Sax could hit a high note in this spot. (4) Take the Backroads might figure out a winning trip here in her debut. (2) Bhoma was second in her debut and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3. Exactas: 1-3 over 2-4 and 2-4 over 1-3.

4th race – (5) Woodline lacked a strong late kick in his debut but should be more competitive with a switch to Santana. (9) Candy Landing seems ready for a strong effort in his debut for Walsh. (7) Happyize is a son of Runhappy for Mattress Mac who could have a nice future. (10) Suburban Court debuts off some sharp works. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-9. Exactas: 5-9 over 4-5 and 4-5 over 5-9.

5th race – (8) Americaredwhiteblu drops into a claimer after a maiden win at Oaklawn and looks best in this spot. (5) Ultimate might prefer a dry track. (1) Eastside Cool should be more effective at this shorter distance. (3) Perfect Cut should appreciate a return to the main track. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-8.

8th race – (5) Claytnthelionheart (C) was bet down from 3-1 to 2-1 and missed by a nose. Makes amends here. (2) Amani’s Eagle rallied for second last time and looms a main contender here. (6) Friar’s Road missed by a neck last fall at Keeneland. Will be a big threat if he’s ready for a top effort. (3) Harvard looked good breaking his maiden and merits attention here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-6. Doubles: 2-3-5-6 with 1-2-3-8.

9th race – (2) On a Spree rallied to miss by a little less than a length last time at Pimlico against better company. Seems like the one to beat. (1) Tizzarunner could be a threat from the rail. (8) Overzealous should improve while returning to turf. (3) Stock Deal may be better off on turf. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-8.
