2nd race – (1) Buffalo Shuffle drops into a claimer for the first time and should prove best here. (2) Cavatina returns to the claiming ranks and will be a threat here. (8) Pilot Prince should be a factor off the Diodoro claim. (3) Flash of Promise drops to a level where he may be effective. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-8. Doubles: 1-2-3-8 with 2-4-6-7.

3rd race – (2) Lastchanceatglory returns to dirt and a claimer and can handle this bunch. (4) Charlie’sarchangel drops off a claim and is worth a close look here. (7) Chicory Blue moves up off a claim but seems to fit in with this group. (6) Take Charge d’Oro was second in a starter race and should make his presence felt here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4. Exactas: 2-4 over 6-7 and 6-7 over 2-4.

5th race – (2) Amazina (B) staged a strong, wide rally to finish a close third and should work out a winning trip here. (5) Yes It’s Ginger has a nice burst of speed and could be tough to catch. (1) Elle Z drops out of stakes company and will be a factor here. (3) Dixieincandyland will be closing quickly in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-5. Doubles: 1-2-3-5 with 1-3-4-8.

6th race – (8) Continuation turns back to a sprint and should be able to finally break his maiden. (3) Extreme was second in his last two starts and should complete the exacta once again. (4) Maximus Aurelius is worth a long look in his career debut. (1) Surveillance was second off a long layoff and merits respect here. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-8.

8th race – (6) Ready to Answer returns to turf and seems ready for a strong effort here. (3) Oncoming Train adds Geroux and may welcome a switch to turf. (4) Convection could be a contender in his first start for Amoss. (5) Loopallu will be formidable if he can duplicate his last try. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-6.
