1st race – (3) Lady by Choice was claimed last time out by Amoss and drops to a level where she should be hard to handle. (2) Unfading Beauty put in a quick work for this and may perk up with the switch to Santana. (6) Liz’s Cable Girl debuts for Amoss and is worth a long look. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6.

6th race - (12) Candy Carlos turned in a stinker last time but appears to be spotted in a place where he can return to top form. (4) House Limit could also put a bad effort behind him against this field. (10) Altito was too far back last time and might work out a better trip here. (3) Laddie Boy will appreciate being back in a claimer. Betting strategy: 12 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-10-12. Doubles: 3-4-10-12 with 2-3-6-9.

7th race - (6) Skinny Dip (A) closed fast in her first start at Churchill Downs while racing wide and wound up second. Can take a step forward here off that effort. (9) It’s Mine was a distant second in her debut for Asmussen and should get the job done. (2) Kapiolani showed a little more early speed in her second start and has been working nicely for this try. (3) Majestic Blend was third behind the top pick and should be in the picture once again. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6-9.

9th race – (10) Alfie Solomons hasn’t raced since a failed stakes try in October but has been working sharply for Ward and should be ready for a big effort here. (1) News Flash tired after a long layoff but should benefit from that try and will appreciate a switch to turf. (3) Ikeisgreat was fourth in a stakes and will be dangerous here. (5) High Crime will welcome a return to turf. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-10.

10th race – (5) Magic Dance tired in her first try at three in a route. The cutback to a sprint will bring out the best in her. (7) Naughty Thoughts has plenty of speed and looks like the one to catch. (3) Bayerness has looked impressive in recent works and merits attention. (2) Four Graces seems ready to turn in a strong try in her stakes debut. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place.  Exacta box: 2-3-5-7.
