4th race – (12) Eskendereyas Dream drew an awful post but seems best in a very weak field. (3) Metropol drops to a level where he should be effective. (9) She Love Me steps up but seems to fit in well with these. (4) Waverunner could make a splash off a maiden win. Betting strategy: 12 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-9-12. Doubles: 3-4-9-12 with 3-5-6-7.

5th race – (6) Street to Indy was a sharp winner in fast time at Oaklawn and can make it two in a row here. (3) Kurilov should be formidable in this company. (5) Colonelsdarktemper figures to be a stretch threat here. (7) Shortlist was a game second at this level and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6-7.

7th race – (2) Union Maiden (D) was bet down from 6-5 to 4-5 but then had a rocky start and rallied belatedly for fifth. Makes amends for that loss here. (8) Stripping seems ready for a big effort in her career debut. (3) Magic Motion put in a quick work for this and seems primed for a strong effort. (11) Ocean Breeze might appreciate a dry track. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-8-11.

9th race – (2) Kulik Bear has stayed sharp since a decisive win at Fair Grounds and can make it two in a row here. (7) Morocco will be dangerous on his best try. (10) Markitoff was hurt by a wide trip last time after a lengthy layoff. Could take a step forward here. (12) Ramsey Solution will be hard to handle if he can overcome the post. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-10-12.

10th race – (1) Beemie Award drops in company and should earn the trophy from the rail. (3) Johnny Cab should be a major factor against claimers. (2) Bump Bailey has inside speed and could be tough to catch. (8) Aggressivity should be a contender against this bunch. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-2-3-8.
