3rd race – (1) Illegal Smile exits a pair of Woodbine stakes and should prove best in this spot. (2) Name Rejected might perk up on turf. (10) Ultimate should be well-suited by turf. (3) Clarestown will be a threat in this spot. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-10.

5th race - (4) Beeboo drops into a claimer and should prove best. (3) Hoistthemainsail tries dirt and claimers and seems capable of a better effort. (5) Stormin Lion is worth a long look in his first try against claimers. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5.

7th race – (2) Convention is training quickly for his debut and will be difficult to catch here. (9) Unitedandresolute was a game third last time and seems like the one to fear. (5) Determined to Rise seems ready for a solid effort in his debut. (3) Test of Will put in a quick bullet work for his career debut and merits attention. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-9.

9th race – (4) Golden Curl (C) dropped from 4-1 to 5-2 then pulled away in the stretch for a clear lead. Can make it two in a row here. (7) Delta’s Kingdom should have no problem with the distance and figures to be the main rival. (8) Romantic Pursuit has enough speed to be formidable at this distance. (2) Cash Out will be dangerous in the stretch run. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-7-8. Doubles: 2-4-7-8 with 6-7-8-10.

10th race – (10) Monte Ne (C) took late money and dipped from 9-1 to 7-1 then settled for a clear second. Should make amends in this spot. (8) Fugitive takes a big class drop and will make his presence felt. (7) Jacks Luvs Nova drops after a second-place finish and should be watched. (6) Smart Call was second at this level and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 6-7-8-10.
