2nd race – (1) Royal Commission returns to Churchill Downs and could be tough to catch on the front end from the rail. (5) Loopallu also has a nice turn of speed and will push the top pick. (4) Hank the Tank returns from a lengthy layoff and is worth a look. (3) Coworker might benefit from a fast pace. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5. Exactas: 1-5 over 3-4 and 3-4 over 1-5.

4th race - (4) Fast Recovery was competitive in his first try against winners. Drops in class and gets Geroux, which will help his cause greatly. (9) Approved will be helped by a shorter distance. (2) Revenio could perk up against this group. (8) Drink was second last time and will be a factor here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-8-9. Doubles: 2-4-8-9 with 1-2-8-9

5th race – (9) Morocco (D) was part of an entry that was bet down from even money to 1-2 then was rank and rallied belatedly. Gets some class relief and should prevail. (8) Easy Shot should perk up back on turf. (2) Honovi should be a stretch threat. (1) Convict Pike gets back on turf and will be tough from the rail. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-8-9.

7th race – (7) Fort Peck was a game second at this level and distance. Should make amends here. (6) Chess Chief has late speed and could complete the exacta. (8) Haunt has sharp early speed and could be hard to catch. (3)  Two Thirty Five steps up after a good second and should not be discounted. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6-7-8. Doubles: 3-6-7-8 with 1-2-4-10.

8th race – (1) More Than Usual turned in a solid second last time and should get the job done here. (10) Fate Factor has enough of a late kick to be a main factor. (4) Osaka Girl was second in her last three starts and belongs in the exotics. (2) Sun Summers will be a contender if she can duplicate her last try in a starter race. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-10
