1st race – (1) A Thousand Reasons (B) set fast fractions but then weakened and wound up fourth. She should hang on here in a claimer. (2) Haynesfest moves up off a pair of seconds and a claim and should the main rival. (5) Nomizar exits a big win but faces tougher competition here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exactas: 1 over 2-5 and 2-5 over 1.

6th race - (5) Sold It turned in a better effort last time while stalking the pace and seems ready for a win here. (8) Dance Rhythms was second in her last two starts and will be a formidable foe. (3) Violenza was hurt by a wide trip last time and should be closer here. (1) Jeannie’s Beepbeep has plenty of speed and could be hard to catch from the rail. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-8.

8th race – (1) Bold Article weakened in the final furlong at 6 ½ furlongs but should be well-suited by six furlongs. (10) Eagle Eye should turn in a better effort here against weaker competition. (7) Stay Home Mama comes off a promising maiden win and fits well here. (4) Red Pepper Grill merits attention back on the main track. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-7-10. Doubles: 1-4-7-10 with 2-3-5-10. Pick 3: 1-4-7-10 with 2-3-5-10 with 2-4-5-8.

9th race – (3) Spirit Animal has been no worse than second in his last four starts for Chad and merits top billing. (5) Set Piece adds blinkers for this try and should be a main threat. (10) Bizzee Channel runs for a tag again and will relish a shorter distance. (2) Temple rallied for second last time and figures to be in the picture once again. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-10. Doubles: 2-3-5-10 with 2-4-5-8.

10th race – (8) Gagetown makes his career debut for Cox off a quick blowout and may prove best here. (5) Super Wise was fourth in his debut and should take a step forward here. (2) Hello Carlo could be a big factor in his career debut. (4) Divinium showed some early speed in his debut and will benefit from that trip. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-8.
