Hot List Key:

*C: Went down 2 or more betting notches in the final 3 minutes and finished 1st through 3rd
*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worse
* - 4 or more betting notches if 11-1 or more.

2nd race – (2) Sovereign Appeal (D) was bet down from 9-5 to 6-5 and flopped around two turns. Cuts back to one-turn here and could rebound with a big effort. (1) Upandcomingstar might prefer a dry track. (3) Temper Time was second in three of four starts and should be in the picture once again.  Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3. Doubles: 1-2-3 with 1-3-7-8.

3rd race – (8) Lady Scarlet drops into a claimer for the first time and should prove best. (1) Coco Puff drops in class and should wake up in this spot. (7) Memphis Cash Queen is a firster who seems to have a bright future. (3) Triple P fits in well at this level. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-7-8.

6th race – (1) Beau Luminarie won by a head last time and looks best in this spot. (4) Major Fed didn’t fire in the slop but can return to top form on a dry surface. (2) Dean Martini returned to the win column last time and seems set for another strong effort. (6) You’re to Blame debuts for Atras off a win and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4. Exactas: 1-4 over 2-6 and 2-6 over 1-4. Doubles: 1-2-4-6 with 2-3-7-8.

7th race – (7) Gerri B was a game second last time and seems well-spotted here. (8) Color of Dawn has never been worse than second in three career starts and should be the one to fear. (3) Midnight Ballerina makes her first start in 13 months but displayed a good amount of potential back then. (2) Thundering Creed fits in nicely with this group. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-7-8.

9th race – (5) Prayforpeace tries claimers for the first time and gets the nod here. (10) Arrow Strike failed to fire in a MSW debut but should be more competitive here. (11) Heffner was third at this level last time and can be a factor once again. (2) Benny’s Fiddle will welcome a return to a dry track. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-10-11.
