3rd race – (3) Straight Shot (C) dropped from 10-1 to 7-1 and lacked some room on the rail while finishing third. Can prevail with a smooth trip. (4) Dennis’ Moment will be a main threat if he runs here instead of a Wednesday spot. (2) Silver Slate returned from a layoff with a big win and should be a major threat. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4.

7th race - (8) Stripping (C) was bet from 5-2 all the way down to 6-5 and won very easily. Should be tough to stop in this starter race. (9) Tonal Vision battled gamely but settled for third last time. Can take a step forward here. (1) Hashtag Winner was overmatched last time but fits better here.  (2) Funnybet will benefit from an inside post with her speed.  Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-8-9. Doubles: 1-2-8-9 with 1-2-5-6.

8th race – (6) Tempers Rising (C) drew attention at the betting windows and dipped from 2-1 to 8-5. She was second throughout that time but finds a winning spot here. (5) Quiet Dignity might wake up while switching to the main track. (2) Villanelle exits a nice maiden win and will be a top contender. (1) O Seraphina seems better than she showed last time. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-6.

10th race – (3) Code of Honor figures to build off a good second last time and return to Grade 1-winning form here. (9) Owendale was second in this stakes last year and will be in the mix once again. (7) Mr Freeze should bounce back after facing tough competition in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. (5) Aurelius Maximus was only a neck behind Mr Freeze and will be a key contender in this field. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-7-9. Doubles: 3-5-7-9 with 1-4-7-8.

11th race – (1) My Mane Girl tired in the stretch while running for the first time in about a year and finished fourth. Should benefit from that start and pull out a win here. (7) Silverbella was second in all three of her starts and might complete the exacta again. (4) Speighty Shirl was a distant second last time and can make her presence felt here. (8) Kiss Theory is worth a look off some sharp works for her first start since March. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-7-8.
