1st race – (10) Ice Baby is a first-time starter for Cox who is training sharply and can win at first asking. (3) Medley was third in all three starts and seems ready to take a step forward. (9) Have I Ever is another firster worthy of consideration. (4) Zmuda could be poised for a better effort. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-9-10.

4th race – (3) Savo Island (B) got to the front in mid-stretch of her debut but lost by a length. Makes amends here. (4) Gun Slingin flopped in slop but may rebound on a dry track. (7) Tricked Out was third in both starts and can make it three in a row. (12) Laser Locked may appreciate the added distance. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-7-12

6th race – (2) General Strike disappointed last time but can revert to top form with a switch to Rosario. (5) Benny the Book is worth a look in his debut. (10) Gunoe was competitive enough in his first two starts to be a factor here. (9) Gunfighter is training smartly for his first start since joining Cox’s barn. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-9-10.

9th race – (5) Tejano Twist was a powerful winner last time at Keeneland and looks best here. (3) Chattalot was third in the slop last time and may show improvement on a dry track. (2) Cool Papa G should benefit from a switch to Rosario. (8) Hoist the Gold might appreciate the shorter distance. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-8.

11th race – (1) Classic Causeway (A) faced a difficult task last time from post 13. Should roll from the rail today. (2) Guntown seems capable of a bounce-back effort here. (6) Tiz the Bomb returns to dirt and cannot be overlooked. (5) Howling Time is unbeaten in two starts and will be a major factor. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-6.
