1st race – (6) Myuddermamasapaint was a game second last time and should get the job done here. (4) Tiz the Journey may have finally found a field he can handle. (1) Hex is worth a look from the rail.  Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-6. Doubles: 1-4-6 with 2-3-4-7.

2nd race – (7) Excursion takes a big drop for Diodoro and looks best here. (3) Cypriano will be dangerous at this level. (4) Stud Puppy could have some bark back on dirt. (1) Mahomes Money seems overdue for a better effort. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-7. Exactas: 3-7 over 1-4 and 1-4 over 3-7.

4th race – (5) Marco Polo made the journey from California and finds a spot where he can prevail. (7) Lookinforexcitemen is a firster who could be a contender here. (4) With Appeal should not be ignored off the Maker claim. (3) Zippin Gigi may last for a share. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-7. Doubles: 3-4-5-7 with 1-2-4.

5th race – (2) Flamingo Hawk ships in from Florida off some solid efforts and gets top billing here. (1) Cowan was victorious last time and should be the one to fear. (4) Shadow Matter cannot be ignored among this bunch. Betting strategy: 25 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4.

7th race – (2) Shotgun Hottie (A) missed by a neck in her debut and can make amends for that setback today. (5) Angitude is working fast for her debut for Cox. (6) Zumra Bayou tired late last time and will welcome the shorter distance. (9) Medley was third in both of her starts and cannot be overlooked. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6-9.
