1st race – (3) My Mane Champ makes his career debut for Maker and seems ready for a strong effort. (9) Blueberry Eyes may welcome a switch to turf. (2) Busker Allie has a pedigree that indicates he should like turf. (4) Distorted Diva has some speed and might be tough to catch. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-9.

3rd race – (6) Kitten’s Kid has been working quickly for her debut and looks like the one to beat. (3) Wrong Turn Cupid is another firster who might have a bright future ahead of her. (4) Mamba Queen has been away for nearly a year but seems to be working sharply. (1) Applaud the Bench might be a threat from the rail. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-6.

5th race – (9) Big Coupe has been freshened since a couple of third-place finishes and may move forward today. (4) Warrens Candy Man has some late kick and could be a threat in the final furlong. (3) Tiger’s Arrow just might hit the bull’s-eye here. (7) Club Mesquite had some troubles in his debut but can move forward here. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-7-9.

7th race – (3) Commander Khai (C) was bet down from 10-1 to 7-1 and showed sharp early speed before settling for second. Gets Rispoli here and might not look back. (5) Beer Can Man was second in a stakes last time but hasn’t raced since February. If there’s no rust he’ll be tough to handle. (2) Good With People has been first or second in his last three starts and cannot be ignored. (6) Harbored Memories will enjoy the shorter distance here . Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-6. Doubles: 2-3-5-6 with 1-3-8-9.

8th race – (1) Eddiespaghetti (D) dropped from 2-1 to 3-2 then showed little in his debut. Was claimed by Miller and deserves a second chance here. (3) You’re My Boy Kat was second and third in his two starts and should be the main rival. (8) Chris Fix makes his career debut and could be a factor. (9) Falcon Ex will welcome a return to dirt. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-8-9.
