1st race –  (3) Warren’s Paradice (A) had a rocky trip last time and should make amends for that setback here while switching to Hernandez. (6) Loyal to a Fault figures to be the main threat here. (2) Sarande might perk up on turf. (5) Grazed My Heart is worth a look off the Mullins claim. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-6.

3^rd race – (1) La Deuxieme Etoile has been absent since she floundered in a January stakes.  Works say she’s ready for a big effort. (4) Ipanema Girl could be a threat in her debut. (2) Adam’s Creed put in a bullet work for her debut and can be dangerous. (3) Avery Blue gets a positive switch to Rispoli. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-4.

5th race – (4) Deise Delight (C) dropped from 2-1 to 3-2 but settled for second. Gets the job done here. (10) Twentyseventrouts has the potential to be a factor if there’s no rust from the layoff. (6) Sweet California may fare better with blinkers. (3) Cal may have a fondness for turf. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-10.

7th race – (7) Opening Buzz flopped in a stakes but should be more competitive here on turf. (8) The Great Haynes has not run since January but Mathis does quite well off layoffs. (1) Big Summer also returns from a layoff and will appreciate being back on turf. (3) O’Neill’s Legacy could be hard to catch here. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-7-8. Doubles: 1-3-7-8 with 3-5-6.

8th race – (5) Edgeway was second in the Breeders’ Cup last year but disappointed last time at Churchill Downs. This looks like the spot to get back on the winning track. (6) Private Mission will be well-suited by the shorter distance. (3) Dance to the Music should be more of a factor after a rough trip last time. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6.
