2nd race –  (6) Overdue had some trouble while racing wide and failing to fire. Can fare better with a class drop. (10) Border Town may have moved too soon last time but should respond to a rider switch to Bravo. (9) Proud Pedro looks like a stretch threat in this field. (4) Niles Channel could perk up back on turf. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-8-9.

4th race – (5) Avery Blue was a good second last time and figures to be tough after a freshening. (10) Truly a Mess could be more of a factor on turf. (8) Backstreet Affair raced well enough on synthetics to be a contender here. (2) Sensible Move could take a home part of the purse. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-8-10.

6th race – (7) Twilight Gleaming (C) dropped from 3-5 to 3-10 and posted a narrow victory. She’s a Breeders’ Cup winner and has too much class for this field. (5) Leggs Galore exits a Grade 1 stakes and looms as the main rival. (1) Royal Address should work out a rail trip and be a main threat. (6) Havana Love is in good form and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7. Exactas: 5-7 over 1-6 and 1-6 over 5-7. Doubles: 1-5-6-7 with 1-2-7-10. Pick 3: 1-5-6-7 with 1-2-7-10 with 1-3-4-6.

7th race – (2) Race Judicata was second in her last two starts and is overdue for a win. (7) Ko Olina returns to dirt and should be hard to catch on the front end. (1) Roses R Blue might stretch out nicely with the help from a ground-saving trip. (10) Smoothlikebuttah will be a factor in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-7-10. Doubles: 1-2-7-10 with 1-3-4-6.

8th race – (6) Chris Fix takes a big class drop and adds blinkers. Should prove best in this field. (4) Pepperman might be better suited by dirt. (3) Take the Two Ten might be more of a factor with a class drop. (1) Mongolian Kingdom could figure in the superfecta with a helpful post. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-6.
