2nd race –  (1) Quick Buck was a distant second last time, but earned a fast speed figure and should cruise from the rail. (8) Continental Divide is worth a look off the Miller claim. (4) Hotrod Ride broke his maiden last time and could motor here. (2) Exceed Speed Limit was claimed by Mike McCarthy and may enjoy dirt.  Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-8. Doubles: 1-2-4-8 with 2-4-5-9.

3rd race – (5) Comanche Country makes her U.S. debut for D’Amato and could be formidable here. (9) Quarantella was a good second in her debut and should welcome the added ground. (2) Lollipop Gumdrop debuts for McCarthy off a nice gate drill. (4) Green Eyed Lady showed some promise in her debut and merits attention. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-9.

6th race – (8) Newgate has registered some fast works for Baffert and should win at first asking. (4) Game Time might be ready for a big try in his debut. (3) Hard to Figure also debuts for Baffert and cannot be ignored. (5) Riverside merits some attention in his debut. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-8.

8th race – (4) Drain the Clock is a proven Grade 1 winner and looks best in this spot. (2) Shaaz is reunited with Baffert and seems poised for a good effort. (5) Principe Carlo missed by a nose last time and will be a major player in this field. (7) Letsgetlucky exits a second in an Oaklawn stakes and fits nicely here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-7

10th race – (3) Mandaloun flopped last time in the Stephen Foster but should benefit from that race and return to winning form here. (8) County Grammer has not raced since winning the Dubai World Cup in March and may need a race. (9) Roya Ship might find some smooth sailing here. (7) Tripoli loves this track and may perk up here. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-7-8-9.
