1st race – (10)  Castillete (C) took an unusual drop from 40-1 to 27-1 and then rallied nicely for second. Gets the job done here. (8) Power should be effective in a claimer. (2) Winning Factor belongs in the exotics after runner-up finishes in his last two starts. (4) Avant Garde might work out a better trip today. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-8-10.

3rd race - (2) Donder ‘n Blitzen (C) dropped from 9-1 to 5-1 then held on to win against similar company. Makes it two in a row here. (5) Lady Noguez (B) closed fast for second, a neck behind the top pick and should be the main rival. (4) Beasaichi was third behind the top two and should complete the trifecta. (6) Sayyida Al Hurra should be a contender at this level. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-6.

6th race – (1) Take Charge Dude (D) was bet down from 7-2 to 5-2 then got off to a slow start and was no factor. Can go gate-to-wire here from the rail. (6) Killa Dee (C) dropped all the way from 7-2 to 6-5 and posted a second straight win. Should be the main threat. (7) Starship Apollo moves up off a claim and merits attention. (2) Travy Boy has enough speed to be a threat. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-6. Exacta: 1-6 over 2-7 and 2-7 over 1-6. Doubles: 1-2-6-7 with 4-6-8-11.

7th race – (4) Boss Wife (C) took a late hit from 7-5 to even money and posted a solid maiden win. Can prevail against winners here. (11) Gioielli should be the main threat here against claimers. (6) Magic River should be closing strongly in the stretch. (8) Zodiac Princess returns from Tampa and should not be ignored. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place.  Exacta box: 4-6-8-11.

10th race – (11) R Man Joe missed by a neck against stakes company and should break his maiden here. (9) Shared Legacy missed by a neck after some freshening. He can prevail here with a similar effort. (6) Caribbean Gold was a useful fourth in his debut and can take a step forward here. (1) Make a Move is a first-timer who merits attention. Betting strategy: 11 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-6-9-11.
