1st race – (7) Calentita takes a big class drop in her first start for Joseph and gets the nod over this group. (10) Laska also drops and might be the main rival. (9) Princesa Crystal should be a factor in the final furlong. (8) Delia’s Pride could be a threat here. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 78-9-10.

4th race – (4) Time to Two Step (C) dropped all the way from 3-5 to 1-5 to post a maiden win. Should be able to handle winners at this level. (3) Stormy Boss missed by a neck last time and could be the one to fear. (6) Paynter Fest drops off a claim and a weak effort but might wake up here. (1) Samoa could be tough to catch from the rail. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-6.

6th race - (2) Untitled was second in a Grade 3 stakes and should relish some class relief here. (1) No Getting Over Me also exits stakes company and cannot be ignored. (4) First and Three was second in his last three starts and belongs in the exotics. (3) Roman Empire should improve back on dirt. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2. Exactas: 1-2 over 3-4 and 3-4 over 1-2. Doubles: 1-2-3-4 with 5-9-11-12.

7th race – (11) Dr. Edgar turned in a good effort in a graded stakes and seems best in this spot. (5) Piven might appreciate a switch back to turf. (12) Morocco exits a claiming win and seems dangerous despite the post. (9) Grand Journey should be a threat in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 11 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-9-11-12.

9th race – (1) Temple rallied to just miss last time and should prevail here with a rail trip and a little more distance. (7) Ry’s the Guy has speed and might be tough to catch. (9) Krampus rallied wide last time and might get a better trip here. (10) Rijeka seeks back-to-back wins and deserves a look. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-7-9-10.
