2nd race – (1) Ain't Wasting Time has been facing much better competition and should welcome the class relief here. (2) Assertiko might wake up in this spot. (7) Frontier Mesa exits a sharp maiden win and fits in here. (4) Flaming Hot missed by a nose and will be dangerous against these. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-7. Doubles: 1-2-4-7 with 1-2-3-8.

3rd race - (2) Nextstop Pokipc switches back to the main track and may land in the winner’s circle. (8) Newyork Giant was a distant third last time but put in a nice work for this. (3) Not Now Rand disappointed as a favorite against better and could rebound here. (1) Captain Yenner drops and will benefit from a rail trip. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-8.

5th race – (2) Dalarna (C) dropped from even money to 3-5 and posted a third straight win. Can make it four in a row here. (6) High Noon Rider should be a major threat in the final furlong. (7) Power Walker ships in from Tampa Bay in good form after wins in two of his last three starts. (8) My Point Exactly has enough speed to be a contender. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-6-7-8. Double: 2-6-7-8 with 3-4-5-8.

6th race – (3) Candy Machine (A) was a solid second in his career debut and should graduate today. (8) Wind Ridge may perk up after a dull debut. (5) Ellis Island rallied belatedly for third in his debut and may take a step forward here. (4) Fried Rice King has worked nicely after finishing fourth in his debut and deserves a close look. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place.  Exacta box: 3-4-5-8.

9th race – (3) Tapit to Ride drops into a claimer for the first time and should prove best. (11) Polished Copper was second against a slow pace and should be formidable against this bunch. (7) Cherokee Sound missed by a neck last time and belongs in the exotics. (2) Veer could emerge as a threat while taking on claimers for the first time. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place.  Exacta box: 2-3-7-11.
