2nd race – (5) Steadily (C) dropped from 7-5 to 3-5 then rallied wide for third. Drops to a level where he should prove best. (2) She Love Me was a distant second last time and should be closer at this reduced level. (8) Dr G’s Hope should welcome a return to the main track. (1) Red Fog should benefit from a rail trip. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-8. Doubles: 1-2-5-8 with 2-4-8-11.

3rd race – (4) Mayito settled for third last time but finds a group he can handle here. (11) Declare Union drops to a level were he should be effective. (8) Clifton Park was bumped at the start last time and never fired. Could be more competitive against these. (2) Rapstorerocks can take a step forward from an inside post. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-8-11.

5th race - (2) Spiritual King showed speed and tired last time against MSW rivals. May not look back here in a claimer. (3) More Than Usual came up empty in the stretch of his debut but drops in class and is worth a look. (7) Dr. Doyle was an improved third in his first try in a claimer and fits well here. (1) Yankee Empire may last for a share of the purse from the rail. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-7.

8th race – (7) Preacher Marsee (C) was bet down from 4-1 to 3-1 then rallied wide to finish second. Gets Saez here and should work out a winning trip. (5) Volubile could be a factor in the final furlong. (2) Crupi’s Pizza Dom has speed and could be tough to catch. (8) Bodie Cody may wind up in the exotics. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-7-8.

10th race – (5) Mighty Road is a million dollar buy for Chad that seems ready for a big effort in her debut. (11) Valletta turned in a solid effort in her turf debut and shapes up as the one to beat. (8) Act Like Artie had a rough trip last time and deserves a second chance here. (7) Dur a Cuire might rebound in this spot. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place.  Exacta box: 5-7-8-11.
