1st race – (7) Cuy returns to turf where he did his best running and gets the nod here. (1) Always Misbehaving drops to an all-time level and looks like the one to fear. (8) Isle of Man could be competitive at this level. (4) Alperes can grab a minor share of the purse in this spot. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-7-8. Doubles: 1-4-7-8 with 1-3-5-7.

2nd race – (1) Markistan was second in her last two tries and was claimed by Sweezey. Seems overdue for a victory. (5) Best of Wildwood will welcome a return to Gulfstream Park, where she’s won three of nine starts. (7) Salsa Rita might wake up in this spot. (3) Bahamian Girl should be a key contender in this group. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5. Exactas: 1-5 over 3-7 and 3-7 over 1-5.

6th race – (4) Miss Peppina makes her debut for Pletcher and has been training forwardly for her first start in four months. (8) Bramble Berry returns to the main track and should perk up. (5) Mandamus missed by a nose last time and could be tough to catch here. (2) Royal Meghan seems to fit in with this bunch. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-8. Doubles: 2-4-5-8 with 1-4-8-10.

7th race – (8) War Canoe has been quite consistent in New York-bred stakes and should be tough to beat for a claiming tag. (1) Codrington has some late kick and will benefit from a rail trip. (4) O. K. Kay has been absent for four months after a solid effort and will be a factor off his best try. (10) Soothing might work out a good trip from the outside post. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-8-10.

10th race – (3) Little Red Frog (B) drops in class for Maker and finds a field she can handle. (9) All About Kathern will be happy to be reunited with the turf course.  (10) Jeanie’s Angel has enough late speed to sneak into the picture. (5) Blues Songs missed by a head last time and be a major threat off a similar try.  Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-9-10.
