1st race – (1) Julius the Great drops into a claimer for the first time and should welcome a return to turf. (6) Ever Clear disappointed last time but can rebound here. (4) Charleston Strong drops to a level where he should be effective. (5) Kodiak Mamba can be competitive in this field. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-6.

3rd race – (8) Commissio has never been worse than third in six career starts and finds a level where he should finally graduate. (2) Driving Wind will welcome a return to dirt. (6) Yeguita Queen was third off a long layoff and can take a step forward here. (5) Rain of Blessing missed by a neck on synthetics and could be competitive here. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6-8. Doubles: 2-5-6-8 with 4-5-6-8.

4th race – (6) Positive Review missed by a neck in a sharp debut and should graduate today. (8) Dean’s is a firster worth a close look today. (5) Superstitieux was second or third in three of four starts and belongs in the exotics. (4) Smokin Bow was second in both starts and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-8.

7th race – (1) Emmanuel is a firster from Pletcher who looks best here. (4) Practical Way didn’t fire in his debut and could improve here. (7) Once a Giant is another firster who seems ready for a big effort. (5)  Logico makes his third start and it may be his best. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-7.

10th race – (4) Endorsed is well-suited by the conditions and should be ready for a top effort. (5) Dennis’ Moment had a big win last time and seems capable of another sharp try today. (2) Wind of Change could be tough to catch here. (6) Doc Amster was a narrow winner last time and should be in the picture once again. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-6.
