1st race – (2) Dominant Joy was second at this distance last time and now drops in company. Looks best in this field. (5) Paintbrush drops to a level where she should be effective. (6) Quentessa might prefer a fast track . Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6. Doubles: 2-5-6 with 2-7-8-10.

2nd race – (7) Whiskeyonhislips returns to dirt and seems best in this spot. (2) U U Star is a firster who merits attention here. (8) Cajun Mandate is working well after a layoff and should be a contender. (10) Magic Pro could have an impact in his career debut. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-8-10.

5th race – (7) Skywalking was third by less than a length last time and seems primed for a winning effort. (1) Drum and Drummer has speed and the rail and should be dangerous. (5) Golden Tone drops and could bounce back to top form. (9) K. K. Ichikawa fits in with this group and should be a factor . Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-7-9.

8th race – (2) Deep State (B) had a tumultuous trip in his debut and still turned in a nice effort. Seems well-meant here. (3) Golden Indy is a first-time starter who should make his presence felt. (1) Crown of Honor should be a top contender in a claimer. (6) Seizing the Dream has some speed and should be a main factor turning for home. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-6.

10th race – (9) Avow is a firster from Pletcher who seems ready for a strong effort in her debut. (3) Wintour should appreciate the added distance. (1) Sheza Spitfire is working quickly and will benefit from a rail trip. (5) London Lady was third in her debut and may be closer today. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-9.
