1st race – (2) Mischievous Guy was claimed out of a second in his debut. He faces state-bred maidens here and looks best. (3) Stormy Pattern was a distant second first time out and should be more competitive here. (6) Morethanicanhandle might wake up after a dull debut. (4) Agarramesipuedes was second in both starts and will be a major factor. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-6.

3rd race – (1) Testimonial was hurt by a wide trip last time and should be helped by a rail trip here. (2) Schakolad was bumped and tired in her debut and deserves a second chance. (6) Evelyn is an interesting first-time starter. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6.

5th race – (6) Triple Jeopardy is in sharp form right now and can make it two wins in a row. (7) Fly the W will welcome a return to turf. (5) Vegas Kitten has speed and could be tough to catch here. (9) Outshine may be sitting on a big effort.  Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-6-7-9.

7th race – (3) Del Ray Dolly drops into a claimer and has the potential to prove best in this field. (1) Hannita’s Empire was a big winner last time and cannot be ignored. (6) Pearlintherough was given a rest after a big win and should be formidable here. (2) Mabee Luckynwild may bounce back to top form in this field. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-6.

9th race – (2) Brown Storm gets some class relief after running in a Grade 1 stakes and merits top billing. (1) Mo Hawk has speed from the rail and may not look back. (4) Noble Indy has been absent since July but will be a contender off his best try. (9) Bemma’s Boy has not raced since March but is still worth a look in this field. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-9.
