1st race – (7) Coin the Phrase has not raced since June but has trained nicely for his first start for Sweezey and should thrive at this level. (5) Miahsolomiah returns to turf and should be a contender against these. (4) Alluring Rumba will welcome a return to turf. (6) Flat Out Cool could be a threat in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-7.

5th race - (8) Eagerly has not raced since January but Pletcher has a long and successful track record for winning off a layoff at this meet. Past form makes him a major player here. (5) Break Beat was second in a pair of claimers and can complete the exacta here. (4) The Angry Man returns to turf and should perk up. (1) Rochambeau should be a main factor from the rail. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-8. Doubles: 1-4-5-8 with 2-4-8-10.

6th race – (10) Kinky Frolic showed little on turf in his debut but should be more competitive on dirt against claimers. (4) Pitufina showed improvement in her second start and could make her presence felt here. (2) Brody’s Honor is worth a look in her debut. (8) Pine Leaf might appreciate the class relief here. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-8-10.

8th race – (5) Ashaar is another Pletcher starter returning from a long layoff and merits top billing here. (7) Life in Shambles likes this track and should respond with a better try today. (6) Ournationonparade exits a graded stakes try and will find the competition more to his liking here. (3) Trappezoid has enough speed to be a factor. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7. Exactas: 5-7 with 3-6 and 3-6 with 5-7.

10th race – (9) French Reef has been tiring in allowance races but should be tough to reel in against this group. (1) Surprise Factor takes a big enough class drop to figure in the outcome. (10) Xmasinthecity has a class edge facing claimers and should not be ignored. (6) Mister Kelly figures to be part of the early pace and be right there at the finish. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-6-9-10.
