1st race – (1) Nikki Noots drops in class and switches over to turf. Could be hard to handle from the rail. (8) Sergeant Sinatra might not look back while stretching out to a mile. (10) Smooth Motion was second on Tapeta and should not be ignored on turf. (11) Hard Mission could be a factor if he can overcome the post. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-8-10-11

3rd race – (3) Defended was a sharp winner after a layoff last time and can extended that sharp form here. (1) Atthecrossroads won by a huge margin and should be a factor against winners. (5) Charlie’s Wish was second in a stakes and can make her presence felt in this field. (7) Olga can be a force from the outside post. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-7.

5th race – (2) Basilia had a useful comeback race at Aqueduct and should be primed for a winning effort here. (5) Classic Lady missed by a nose last time and should be a main threat. (3) Nana Fanny is very consistent and belongs in the exotics. (7) Aziza could be tough to catch if she gets an easy lead. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-7.

7th race – (2) Anna’s Dream turned in a dismal try last time out but has been working quickly and should turn in a solid effort. (6) Gitana has the kind of speed to a big threat here. (1) Foxy Lady will benefit from a rail trip. (4) Adios Baby won easily last time and merits attention here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-6. Exactas: 2-6 over 1-4 and 1-4 over 2-6. Doubles: 1-2-4-6 with 5-9-10-11.

8th race – (5) Bramble Bay missed by a nose in a solid effort and deserves top billing here. (9) Kahiko was second on Tapeta and should a force on turf as well. (10) Empress Ellie won on this course in April and should be in the picture once again. (11) Frippet may wake up in this spot. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-9-10-11.
